Prehistory and Sky smithing templates

Upgrades and decorative trims are different

Prehistoric fossil sites and abandoned camps can contain the Amberite upgrade template and Fossil trim template. Sky sanctuaries can contain the Celestite upgrade and Celestial Crown trim. Each cache has a 50% upgrade-template chance and a 40% trim-template chance. Previously emptied chests are not refilled.

Duplicate templates

Prehistory: 7 Amberite ingots, one template and one bone block. Sky: 7 Celestite ingots, one template and one celestial opal block. Put the template in the top-center slot, the block in the center, and ingots in the remaining seven slots. Receive 2 copies of that template.

Use at a smithing table

Amberite upgrade + Astralite equipment + Amberite ingot upgrades the material. Celestite upgrade + Amberite armor + Celestite ingot creates Sky armor.

Fossil or Celestial Crown + trimmable armor + trim material adds a pattern, including on normal Minecraft trimmable armor. Both Celestite colors also accept the other vanilla decorative templates. Dye changes retain the trim.
